Jonathan Hefter Appointed Chief Financial Officer at HUD Federal Credit Union

Washington, D.C. — August 15th, 2024 — HUD Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the appointment of Jonathan Hefter as its new Chief Financial Officer. With a proven track record of financial leadership and strategic planning, Jonathan brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the credit union.

Jonathan joins HUD Federal Credit Union after serving as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President at Signal Financial Federal Credit Union. In this role, he led the organization through a comprehensive digital transformation, enhanced financial performance, and implemented strategic planning initiatives that resulted in significant growth and improved financial stability.

With over 30 years of experience in financial management, Jonathan has held key positions at various credit unions and financial institutions, including Signal Financial FCU, NIH Federal Credit Union, Damascus Community Bank, and Arlington Community FCU. He is renowned for his transparent and collaborative approach to financial leadership, and he has been awarded for his commitment to ethical standards and ability to drive results through improved financial reporting and strategic decision-making.

Jonathan holds a Master of Science in Accounting from Pace University’s Lubin School of Business, an MBA in Finance & Investments from The George Washington University School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Bryant College.
